The last XL96 Big Breakfast Blitz for Moncton Headstart's Coats for Kids Campaign is this Friday Nov. 3rd. We'll be accepting your donations at The Moncton Headstart Headquarters on Mountain Rd. at Mapleton Rd. Any donation of children's outerwear will greatly appreciated. The XL96.9 Big Breakfast gets closer to our goal each passing day. It's our mission that every child in Metro Moncton has proper Winter Outerwear this year and we're counting on your support. Most importantly, some pretty important Kids are counting on you too. The Moncton Headstart Coats For Kids Day is Nov. 4th; and we're working toward making sure every child who shows up finds what he/she needs to stay warm this Winter. When sorting through your children's mildly used Winterwear, please consider a donation before discarding. On Wed. Oct, 25th Sonia will be accepting donations at Pharmacie Jean Coutu Pharmacy on Champlain Street. Drop by with your donation and find out how you could be recieving a Special Gift of Dixie Chicks music. It's our way of saying thanks for your generosity.

Coats For Kids at Midway Point!

The XL96.9 Big Breakfast is pursuing their mission to make sure every child in Metro Moncton is properly outfitted for the upcoming Winter season. Please support the Moncton Headstart's Coats For Kids Campaign. Make your donation at any of the drop-off locations by Nov. 3rd. These locations include all Jean Coutu Pharmacies; Co-Op Stores on Record St. and Mapleton Rd., Red Cap Quality Dry Cleaners on the Shediac Rd., or Moncton Headstart Headquarters on Mountain Rd. This weeks XL96.9 Big Breakfast Blitz will take place Wednesday morning (Oct. 18th) at Red Cap Quality Dry Cleaners who, once again this year, will be cleaning all donated items. Watch for the XL96.9 Special Events cruiser to be on-site from 7am to 8:30am. Please note there is a special need for Boys items; however all donations of children's outerwear are apprciated.

Breas Cancer Survivors

On the morning of Thursday October 12th, the XL 96 Big Breakfast (Terry Parker, Sonia Duffney) helped welcome back some local heroes. Terry and Sonia ventured out to the Moncton International airport in order to congratulate the members of the ‘ti Bateau dragon-boat racing team. The team was returning to Moncton after having been participants in a dragon boat race in Singapore. XL 96 was proud to meet these breast cancer survivors at the airport with smiles, hugs and flowers for all. Pictured here with Sonia and Terry is Charlotte Welton. Welcome Home Rally!!

The XL96.9 Big Breakfast invites you to The Greater moncton Airport on Thursday Mornng Oct.12th to Welcome Home members of the 'Ti Bateau' Dragonboat team. These amazing Cancer survivors will be returning from an International Dragonboat Competition in Singapore where they placed 6th. Join us when we celebrate these truly amazing ladies and their accomplishments. In honor of their contributions, and this being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each team member will recieve a token of our appreciation for their efforts. Bring you smiles and be ready to cheer on the team. Their flight is scheduled to land at 11am. See you there!
