Brad Paisley Listening Party at Montana's!

What a great time! Thanks to all of our listeners who came out. We gave away 20 invites, had 40 guests, and they got to be the first people in Atlantic Canada to hear Brad's new album "5th Gear". We gave away copies of the cd, his entire domestic cd library and the big prize of the night: front row tickets to the St. John show September 11th and backstage passes! Congrats to Diane Flannagan who won those, she sure was thrilled! Thanks to Montana's for hosting us and providing all kinds of great eats, and Sony BMG and Dan Robichaud for partnering with us to make it all happen. Look forward to more of these down the road!

JR Vautour drops by!

JR Vautour dropped into the Big Breakfast and updated us on what's new with him, including his little ones. JR was in town to appear on the Pour L'amour Du Country tapings.

Damian Marshall Visits the Big Breakfast!

As part of the Connections Productions "Pour l'amour du Country" tv tapings at Theatre l'escouette in Moncton, we've had some great Canadian country artists dropping in. Damian Marshall was on the bill Monday, June 11th and dropped in the Big Breakfast for a visit and a couple of songs. What a great laid back, down to earth guy! He's now an honorary Maritimer. He and Terry got together for a picture before he left the building.

Kent Stuff a Shed

Once again, we at XL 96 have teamed up with Kent to "Stuff a Shed". Drop by Kent at Trinity or in Dieppe and fill out a ballot. Or fill out a ballot when you see our Special Events Patrol out and about this summer. We'll pull one ballot a day, and that person will qualify for our elimination event at Kent on July 21rst to win the Royale shed and everything inside, valued at $4000! Each day we'll reveal a new item that we are "stuffing" in the shed. On Friday, June 8th, Mitch was in the shed to kick things off at Kent on Trinity. Arby's/Country Rocks Winner

XL96.9 and Arby's on Mountain Road congratulate Les Kearns and his fiance Linda who are happy winners of the "Ultimate Concert Package" draw. The happy couple recieved a pair of tickets to Country Rocks The Hill on Sept. 1 as well as overnight accomodations at Future Inn and Gift Certificate from Mavericks Restaurent.

Friday June 1st the XL96.9 Big Breakfast was "live" from Riverfront Park in anticipation of this year's Homeless Hotel. Thanks to everyone who participated in making it another great success.
